There is no end to workplace accidents, which have been turned into slaughterhouses by the intensification of work and the lack of protective measures, all of which we face on a daily basis because capitalist profit puts human life in second place.

This morning, a colleague working for a contractor at the ISAP in Piraeus was killed when he was crushed by a very heavy load that fell on him.

Just yesterday, three workers (two in Patras and one in Crete) were injured while at work.

Construction workers, transport workers, and all workers are paying a heavy price in the struggle for their daily wages, facing an urban state and all governments and their political personnel who are promoting exploitation and “flexibility” to protect the profits of monopolies.

We stand in solidarity with the work stoppage declared by the STASY unions for today from 12:00 to 18:00.

We are fighting for:

Effective safety measures in the workplace.

Immediate recruitment to cover shifts with the required personnel.

No workers on payroll companies, who are used to exploit colleagues and not even comply with this broken legal framework.

Solidarity to STASY colleagues
