On September 12, 2024, a delegation from our board at SETEP met with higher management from Teleperformance Greece to discuss several important issues, including the Collective Labour Agreement, and aspects concerning benefits for all our colleagues as well as union liberties and fulfilling some legal obligations.

It was shown once again that only through our union’s collective struggle can things change! The company was forced under the pressure of our struggle to implement some of our demands!

Although the company has not committed to any specifics and have refrained from discussion for the Collective Labour Agreement as a whole, they have suggested returning with more details in a new meeting in the first days of October. Let us remind the company that we will continue until we secure our rights by signing a CLA.

The management has fulfilled the demand of providing announcement boards in break areas in all buildings for our Union to be able to inform all of us working at the premises. We still insist on the demand having to receive access to a means of communication to the rest of the 10000 colleagues working from home. The company also fulfilled their obligation for an office which is located in the K3 building in Moschato which will act as another source of contact to reach as many colleagues as possible.

They suggested that they intend to fulfill our demand to provide the necessary infrastructure to all our WAHA colleagues, consisting of chairs and desks. A pilot project which has covered 200 colleagues working from home, with the intention of expanding the project but without giving a specific timeline.

They also reserved an answer regarding the terms of providing permanent contracts to all agents. Putting a limit but not removing the known and unacceptable process of using outsourcing companies, to avoid implementing them for tenured agents.

They also confirmed that aux usage for bathroom breaks, outside the 45 minutes is something that should be considered a given. We remain open to see this being implemented in departments with policies that instruct colleagues to “take their breaks as scheduled”, forcing them to take bathroom breaks strictly during their break time.

They also spoke about providing a standard bonus for all, regardless of productivity and attendance, to cover a part of the rapidly growing food expenses, but again no specifics.

Lastly, they discussed of finding an acceptable form to implement a substantial form of private insurance coverage for all our colleagues.

We are fully aware that none of this is going to be given away. It is through our struggle that we have come this far! We are ready to escalate our mobilizations if the company does not meet our demands.

Until then, our union intends to contact as many of our colleagues as possible to rally our forces and be prepared for all outcomes. Our next General Assembly will take place on 29/09 at 17.00 at the Piraeus Labour Centre.

We fight to improve our working conditions, we fight to improve our lives, our Union is our strength! Join us and get others to join!
We are only getting started!
Together we fight for collective rights!
