SETEP denounces the unacceptable contract amendment sent by Teleperformance Greece’s management, which is forcing workers in the departments of a major Social Media client to sign a SALARY REDUCTION!

Specifically, the management is threatening workers to “choose” between accepting an amendment of their individual contracts with harmful terms or working from the offices in Athens.

In other words, they are blackmailing our colleagues who live in various cities across Greece with families and responsibilities into either accepting pay reductions of €100 or more or leave their homes!

No colleague should agree to this!
No colleague should sign it!
No colleague should accept this blackmail!

Any change to our contracts that has a negative effect on our working conditions is considered an adverse change! In such cases, we as workers are not obliged to agree to them, and we may continue working under the terms of the current contract!

From the very moment our Union was founded, we began fighting to secure a Collective Labor Agreement that guarantees rights and salaries that meet our today’s needs! Because it is well known and self-evident that under the current conditions, our salaries are not enough to cover even our basic needs and no longer last us through the first 15 days of the month.

The intensification of work has reached a breaking point, and every day our colleagues are called upon to do more, faster, and under greater demands, while management absorbs the pitiful increases from the capitalist state through the shameful ploy of employer discretion, via “offset with bonuses”

Teleperformance boasts about the proper balance between AI and EI, yet once again it is proven in practice that they take advantage of every technological development to worsen our working conditions, while revealing their inhuman face without a second thought.

They also take advantage of all the laws passed in recent years by a series of governments, which have destroyed any concept of labor law, leaving workers unprotected in the face of every unreasonable demand from employers regarding schedules, wages, and general working conditions—which employers are asking us to sign through individual employment contracts.

SETEP invites all colleagues to a department meeting at our offices on Wednesday, April 8, at 7:00 p.m., to discuss the issues and problems that concern us, learn about the Collective Labor Agreements, join the union, discuss and plan our next steps.

Don’t sign the new contract!
You’re not the only one thinking of not signing—there are many of us!
We won’t accept any harmful changes to our working conditions!
No colleague is alone!

TP asks from colleagues in major Social Media company to sign contract amendements reducing their salaries by €100 or more!
