Our General Assembly took place on Sunday, 29/09/2024, at the Labour Center of Piraeus, with the presence of workers from different projects all around Greece. We discussed openly, fraternally, and democratically about many topics, including work-related issues and our Union activities.

Regarding the issue that our colleagues at the “German project A” are facing, we decided to request a meeting with the company to demand that any added volume should be stopped immediately and that their demands should be satisfied. The assembly authorized the board to escalate based on the management’s response and the meeting has already been requested.

As for the follow-up meeting with the management regarding the demands covering aspects of our CLA, the assembly agreed that we need to receive tangible and specific responses in writing. Based on the management position, we will have another meeting immediately after the 7th of October to decide.

It was made clear that we are more than determined, as we fight for our survival! They make a 450 million euros turnover, whilst we have empty bank accounts a week after our wages are paid.

The assembly authorized the board also to organize meetings in every project and every language department to prepare and inform as many of our colleagues as possible, to prepare for our next militant steps if we get out of the meeting empty-handed.

We will continue to stand by any and all of our colleagues who ask for the support of our Union, covering everything from the smallest to the biggest issue.

Our fight has brought us a long way; our solidarity will bring us forward, and we will win!

We demand:

A separate meeting with the management this week as per the request of our colleagues. The immediate recall of any added workload without salary raises, proper training and necessary hires.

Our demands, which were clearly outlined in the previous meeting, to be met and signed in the form of a CLA. Otherwise the only response is a significant escalation if the management chooses to stall more.

The board will meet immediately afterwards and call for a new assembly to decide our next steps accordingly.
