We, the union of Teleperformance workers, are compelled to denounce the serious negligence that occurred today November 14th 2024, in the PPZ building, Gravias, on the second floor. 

The maintenance team arrived to change the air conditioner filters and, in the process, filled the floor with dust. Despite repeated complaints from employees, no immediate action was taken to mitigate the situation. 

As a direct consequence, one of our colleagues, who suffers from a dust allergy, was forced to leave work early. This incident not only endangered her health but also led to her losing pay for the remainder of the day. Alarmingly, the floor manager suggested that she visit the nurse but failed to stop the maintenance work or implement any measures to safeguard the well-being of employees, particularly those with respiratory conditions.

This incident highlights a clear disregard for worker health and safety standards. In light of this, SETEP calls for the following immediate actions:

1. Implementation of strict protocols during maintenance activities to prevent such incidents.

2. Ensuring that all employees are informed in advance about maintenance work that could impact their work environment.

3. Provision of appropriate safety measures and equipment to protect employees during maintenance.

4. Reviewing and updating the company’s health and safety policies to ensure the protection of all workers, especially those with known health conditions.

5. Guaranteeing that employees who need to leave due to health issues caused by workplace conditions do not suffer financial penalties.

We urge Teleperformance senior management to take these concerns seriously and act promptly to prevent any recurrence. The health and safety of employees must always be a top priority.

• Mass participation in the mobilization in front of the Ministry of Immigration on 18/11 at 18.30, to get answers and to achieve the improvement of this shameful situation of the specific purpose visa

  >> On the second day 20/11, the day of the nationwide strike, we meet at the same time in front of the building of 25 Gravias again and at 10.30 we go together to the Plateia Theatrou to join our voices with all our colleagues!

  >> On 19/11 at 08.30 on the first day of our strike, we meet in front of the building of 26th October 43, to send a loud message to the company
  >> On the second day 20/11, the day of the nationwide strike, we are in front of the building of of the building of 26th October 43 again at the same time and at 10.30 we go together to the Venizelos Statue to join our voices with all our colleagues!
