Decision of the General Assembly
We salute the 7th 24-hour strike of Teleperformance workers across Greece, the first strike declared by SETEP.
We salute the colleagues who fought this battle against the management’s intimidation, all those who fight every day to inform their colleagues and to register in their union, all those who were at the strike rally outside the company’s offices giving the pulse of the demand for a CLA, that will secure rights and improve the working conditions of ALL of us, in EVERY department, regardless of language and subject. Special greetings to our colleagues in Chania who with their mass participation blacked out the buildings on 27/5.
We denounce the attitude of the management which has been delaying the negotiations for 3 months. They refused to meet us on the day of the strike as they pretended not to be there. It seems we are not all one family when we demand our rights. We already welcome Majorel colleagues, in class solidarity, to the ranks of our union. It is clear that they only see profits and numbers; we see brothers and sisters on our side.
At the mass General Assembly on the same day we made it clear that we will not stop until our fair demands are answered, that our struggle is here to stay. We discussed a rich programme of activities and various measures to continue.
Our union is now nationwide after the latest court’s decision! We continue to be even more determined to inform all our colleagues and to register to SETEP. We are preparing for our union elections, which will give new momentum to our struggle and validate our victories so far!
•We are organizing a party on Friday 31/5 for the financial support of our struggle, at 20:00 at the Silo of Lipasmata Drapetsona.
•We are organizing a meeting with lawyers to discuss the new immigration law.
•We are organizing departmental meetings and an open information meeting on the Collective Labour Agreement.
•We continue with massive union tours of all buildings and a union membership campaign.
Together we strengthen our struggle!
