1886 CHICAGO – 1936 THESSALONIKI – 1944 KAISARIANΙ – MAY DAY 2026
STRIKE RALLY AT THE MUNICIPAL THEATRE SQUARE IN PIRAEUS AT 10:30
This May Day, the workers of Teleperformance, together with workers from all over the world, celebrate the struggles of our class—struggles for life and work with rights. From the dead workers of Chicago in 1886, to the 11 murdered workers in Pasalimani in 1923, to the 200 communists executed in Kaisariani on May Day 1944, this day is soaked in blood and struggle.
We know well that their war kills whatever their “peace” leaves standing—two sides of the same coin of capitalist exploitation.
Two worlds are constantly in conflict: that of our exploiters—the world of profits, competition, exploitation, and wars—and our own world, of all of us who produce the wealth.
No involvement in the war—bring back military missions from abroad, shut down the US and NATO bases now! Their “money trees” bloom for the profitability of monopolies and are enough to send Patriot missiles to Saudi Arabia for Aramco and frigates to the Red Sea.
We will not wait for our turn, nor will we become perpetrators against other peoples. Money for healthcare, education, and public transport—for the needs of society as a whole. Free entertainment and sports for everyone.
The working class is the force that drives the ports, the ships, the factories, transport—every aspect of production. Without workers, nothing functions. This power becomes real when it is organized, when it breaks fear and passivity, when it moves to counterattack. We know this well from the impact of our struggles at Teleperformance and in the large call centers.
There is no room for patience when exploitation intensifies in workplaces and our income is wiped out by war-driven inflation—on food, housing, energy, and the daily cost of commuting, among others.
With organized struggle against the criminal policy of profit! No trust in the government or the parties that agree with and serve it. We are not waiting for any “savior” to rescue us. Their “stability” means instability for every worker—permanent insecurity, wages that don’t meet our needs, a life without rights, and insecurity in every aspect of life.
As our assembly concluded — through lively and militant discussion about the problems faced by our colleagues across various departments — that solutions to our problems and victories can only come through collective action and struggle, through strengthening the ranks of our union and engaging with each colleague individually.
