Dear colleagues,

During the previous 48-hour strike battle, our fight was overwhelming, with thousands of all of us fighting both days. Hundreds of new colleagues went on strike for the first time, against the full range of the company’s strike-breaking mechanism, all the practices to intimidate our colleagues, the days off for those who knew they would strike, the offers of extra pay for working on a strike day. The one to one meetings in several departments, where they told them that they will gain nothing going on strike.

They were not and will not be able to break us! And they know it all too well!

It is obvious that the management are not comfortable with the pressure exerted by the strike, but the truth is that we are much less comfortable, because our demands are vitally important, as the salary does not reach more than ten a month. We openly call once again on the management to sign a CLA, because our demands are just and we will not stop until we get them. 

Our strength has shown throughout the last few months that it is great, and it is this strength that has put the employers in a difficult position, and has helped us to achieve a lot already, to make our voice heard, it is the one that will succeed in getting all our other demands! We made it clear from day one, no one will be alone anymore, we will not stop fighting until the company becomes a really good place to work for all our colleagues!

Though our fight we count many wins so far..

• – Raises for a range of languages and objects
• – Commitments from the Ministry of Immigration regarding the shameful “Specific Purpose Visa”
• – Free transportation for colleagues working in Chania
• – The beginning of a gradual distribution of free chairs and desks to colleagues working from home

The battle continues, everyone needs to join the ranks of our Union, so that we will reach every workplace, every department of the company, from Apple, Meta, Samsung, Norton, Microsoft, Vivawallet, DEI, Vodafone, Cosmote, to every large or small department, to every colleague. Every colleague, every member of the union is already giving it, to reach every colleague who is working from home, every colleague who is starting training, every one who is under the threat of downsizing.

We are fighting for:

• – Raises for all our colleagues, regardless of language and subject
• – Permanent contracts for all
• – Better working conditions for all our colleagues

Our Union SETEP will join our voices with all the Unions and Labour Centers of the country, calling against the minimum wage freeze that the government is attempting with the new monstrosity bill, at the demonstration on Wednesday 04/12 at 18.30 at Syntagma.

We are many, we are right, we will win!
