Responding to the international call of the World Federation of Trade Unions (WFTU) to transform the International Day of Action for Peace, which is observed every year to mark the anniversary of the start of World War II (September 1, 1939, when Nazi Germany invaded Poland), into a Day of Action against imperialist war, we call on all Teleperformance workers to take action against war and the genocide of Palestine.
Workers have nothing to gain from rivalries between capitalist states and imperialist wars. On the contrary, we become cannon fodder in wars fought for their profits and to steal the natural resources of peoples. Workers demand an end to all cooperation with the Israeli occupation and the imperialist aggression of the US and the EU, which are opening the gates of hell across the planet.
Workers refuse to stain their hands with blood by working on projects directly related to military operations. At this moment, all production is being converted to war production. In this direction, the Greek government plans to vote for a 13-hour working day.
Workers around the world will demonstrate with us:
Condemn NATO and the Greek government, both current and previous, which contribute greatly to the expenditure of taxpayers’ money on wars and genocides, exceeding 2 trillion dollars. Demand the dissolution of NATO, the closure of all bases and military alliances, and the abolition of nuclear weapons.
• Redirect resources from war to health, education, wages, pensions, and social welfare. Oppose the European Union’s ReARM program.
• Demand an immediate ceasefire and an end to the wars in Yemen, Sudan, Ukraine, and elsewhere. Condemn and block Israel’s actions against the Palestinians, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran, as well as the US threats against Venezuela.
• Demand an independent, free, and sovereign Palestinian state.
At Teleperformance, as well as at a number of companies in the telecommunications and IT sector, we are working on projects directly related to the genocide of the Palestinian people and democratic freedoms around the world:
Companies that Israel relies on for widespread surveillance of Palestinians. Platforms that facilitated the preparation of deadly airstrikes and shaped military operations in Gaza and the West Bank. That actively censor voices of resistance and freedom of speech worldwide through their networks. That provide servers, data storage, and security services for Israeli prisons where Palestinians are held in inhumane conditions and in violation of international law. That collaborate with and supply the Israeli military. They reinforce propaganda and occupation in Palestinian territories.
All operations aimed at occupying the Gaza Strip must stop now.
• All passageways must be opened now to allow the necessary humanitarian aid to pass through.
• Recognition of a free Palestinian state.
• No economic, political, or military cooperation with or support for the murderous state of Israel
• We demand the closure of all NATO bases.
We call for an information campaign outside the company’s buildings in Piraeus and Moschato at 5 p.m. on Monday 1st September.
